David started growing out his hair to see how many people would notice and say something. Well, people noticed but didn't say anything. I actually emailed one of the people that works with him and begged her to say something about his hair getting long. She just laughed. Then he wanted to see what his parents would say. They didn't say anything. So then he wanted to wait to see what his sister would say. Please note that he usually gets his hair cut every two weeks. At this point it had been at least two months. Finally a week or two before going to visit his sister he got the urge to go get a haircut! YEAH! When he came home that day I didn't even recognize him. He looks like he lost 10 pounds and 10 years!

What are you doing next Sunday?
Apparently I am interpreting the Sunday service at our church. We came to church a little last this morning and the pastor gave David a couple of programs for today's service. When we sat down I starting looking through the volunteers for today and next week to make sure I wasn't supposed to be somewhere else and to my surprise I am down for interpreting next week, something our church has never had. I started freaking out and I demanded that David give me his program so I could see if it was in his too, and it was. David told me to keep it down, as we were supposed to be singing. David told me they talked about how we could serve more if we offered this at the ChristCare meeting Thursday that I missed because I was at Sign Language class. I then showed it to my friend sitting next to me. David told me I would do fine and that I should start practicing with the music because it is slower. My friend then said that it wasn't in hers. What a relief! David then wished me a Happy early April Fools.

On a roll
Wednesday while David was at work and the dogs at the kennel I decided to try out dry erase paint in our kitchen. Boy was it messy and runny. Neither of us liked the way it looked but it takes 2 days to dry. It looks pretty good now that it is dry. I think it will come in handy when we have kids. So they can be entertained and watched while I cook. David will be out of town for the next 3 weeks. Who knows what I'll do next.
Blankets
When we went to drop off Daisy and Dorito at the kennel last weekend I realized that I only had a blanket for Dorito. One that he had since he was a puppy that I now keep in the back of my car for them to lay on. I felt really bad that I didn't have a blanket for Daisy. Well, on the way to the kennel Daisy ended up pooing and throwing up on Dorito's blanket so neither of them ended up with a blanket. Last night while watching a movie I made blankets for both of them and one for myself. I think they really like them. Before the movie while David was making dinner I made another "I spy" bag. They are getting better.

She's Crafty
This is a grocery bag that I started crocheting when my mom was here. It can stretch to hold a lot of groceries. This took a long time to make. I made most of it on the plane trip to and form Utah. That was about 8 hours.
Here's an "I Spy" bag that I made yesterday. I think this is an awesome toy and I am going to be making a lot of them. If you would like one just let me know. I may start selling them on Etsy.com for $15. I am planning on attaching a tag with the picture below that shows what is inside.

Spring Break!!!!
We went to Provo, Utah for my Spring Break and Easter. Julie made a fabulous pot roast for Easter dinner. We had hot pot with Julie and Jason one night. Hot pot is like an Asian fondue. It was pretty good, since you get a buffet for the items you want to put in the soup.
We went skiing at Sun Dance one day and got massages the next. This was my first time skiing out west and I found that I don't like going to the top of the mountain. Since there are no trees at the top I feel like I could just slide off. In the 4th picture there's a picture of me and a sign in the background that reads Amy's Ridge. I was not going any where near the sign because I was sure I would end up sliding off the mountain or onto a black diamond slope.
We also visited Park City.

Pity Party
My doctor said that I would be more fertile now since I had a miscarriage and a d&c. She was wrong. My progesterone level is .725 when it should be 18 or higher. This makes me feel broken as a woman and defeated. Before my pregnancy, my level was 14 so I took Clomid which made it rise into the 20s so that I would be able to sustain a pregnancy. I'm not even sure Clomid is going to help now. Will it raise it enough? Since this is a hormone supplement I can only take it a few times before it increases my chances of having ovarian cancer. I'm off to eat another box of Thin Mints.

Don't tell David the dog is GREEN!
When David is out of town I like to change things around the house. Last time I rearranged the living room. This time I painted our bathroom. While I was painting the bathroom Daisy licked some painted and rubbed up against a few walls. I was able to get the paint off her nose but not off her fur. Hopefully he won't check my blog so I can surprise him with a painted bathroom.

Presidential Debate
I saw this on another persons blog (The blog that ate manhattan) and just had to share it.
Obama = Popover.Very quick to make, fast rise in a hot oven; be careful not to take it out before it is done or it will collapse. Delicious flavor alone, but really needs a little butter and jam to make it perfect. Everyone loves popovers.
Hillary = Sourdough bread. Needs a starter from a previously made bread to get going. Slow rise, punched down halfway and risen again. Has a wonderfully complex flavor, but can be a little tough and chewy. Not everyone likes sourdough bread, but those who do adore it.
McCain = Biscotti. Dry, hard, slowly baked and twice-cooked. Will keep for long periods of time in a can without losing flavor, making biscotti a favorite among soldiers and sailors. If a biscotti loses crispness, it can be put toasted in a low oven until crunchy again. Best eaten dunked in wine or strong coffee to soften.
Nader = Fruitcake. Has lots of fruits and nuts, all of which are good for you, and yet for some reason not many people like it. Can keep for years in a tightly closed tin. The same unopened fruitcake will get recycled year after year with no one ever eating it. Europeans appreciate fruitcake more than Americans do.

Mom visit
My mom came to visit this past week and we made cookies, Dorito tried to help.
We went to the flower and garden show. I decided I want this huge toad in my garden. My mom taught me to crochet. The dish towels are both supposed to be square. As you can tell, the first one turned out round. I am now working on a bag.And Daisy got spayed.

And the results are in
The doctor called me Monday and informed me that all tests came back negative. This does not mean that I don't have APS/thrombosis, but it is highly unlikely. The only test that we did not do was the genetic test.

Let's all go to the circus!
Yea! Thursday I went on a field trip to the circus with my preschool class. As a child I loved field trips and as a teacher I loath them. I am a wreck constantly counting kids. So these preschool field trips are wonderful since the parents are required to go. This was the best circus I have ever seen. It was the Murat Shrine Circus. (I think.)
