Crochet

Taught my sis to crochet. It was a little difficult since she is left handed. She is making a grocery bag like the one I made.

First Appointment

There's my little blueberry. Everything looks great! It is measuring 7 weeks and 2 days and the heart rate was 146. It turns out that I have a tilted uterus but the doc said not to worry and that it will correct itself between weeks 10-12. As for right now that just means it is a little more difficult to find the heartbeat. The nurse and doctor were very excited that I feel awful. I just have to stay hydrated. I will have another ultrasound next Friday so David will be able to see it.

Trader's Point Creamery

We had lunch there and then went on a self guided tour. On our tour this cow ran over and gave us an angry moo.
Here's a picture of the chicken coup. That was as close as I was going to get to it. I didn't want chickens chasing me.

My sister was braver than me.

I'm not sure why these chickens were in a cage, maybe they were younger. They looked smaller.

Oh morning sickness!

It hit me a couple of days ago. I was starting to get worried because I hadn't been sick but my worries are gone. I have no appetite and am forcing myself to eat, but can only eat half of what I used to. This morning I had half a banana and yesterday for lunch half a sandwich. David and Courtney are enjoying my leftovers. The fridge is full of them now because I have no idea what I want to eat. The only thing that makes me feel better...milkshakes. I think because it's cold and cools me down.

Tagged again!

I am supposed to photograph one item in my home to then tell about....something that I love or that has a special story. I picked this one from my wedding, sorry it's blurry I'm still figuring out how to take pictures with my new camera. This was the first time that my entire family has gotten together, Mom's side, Dad's side, and step family.
Second part of the tag is to photograph items from my handbag that I CANNOT live without. I have my phone, a pen, chap stick, gum, and my grocery bag. I know that last item is weird but I use it every time I go shopping so that I don't get hundreds of plastic bags to try to carry.
Lastly I'm supposed to tag someone so I'm tagging Julie and Courtney, my sisters.

Bye Bye Bike, Hello Stroller

Selling one set of wheels for another. Sad to see it go but know it's the right decision. I took it for one last spin this morning. Beautiful day for riding!

Carb Day

Nope, the racers do not eat carbs on carb day. It is named after the part of the car, carburetor. We went to it this year just for the concert. We saw STP, Stone Temple Pilots, and got to listen to some classics in the rain.

Gone to the dogs

My sister came into town today and is staying for two weeks. I'm very excited but it looks like the dogs are too.
My sister and I both went upstairs for a minute and Daisy stole my juice from the end table.
We went to see KT Tunstall last night. It was pretty good. I love her music.

Flowers

My four year old class got me a lot of flowers on the last day of school. I also got a few gift cards and candles from my two year old class. After school we went to my boss's house to have a pitch-in lunch, where we all sat outside. After getting home and unloading the flowers I realized that if I were a flower I would be full shade. You can tell I was wearing a 3/4 length shirt.

Best Birthday

This birthday was the best birthday in a few a years. It started when I got a present from my mom and step-dad over the weekend. The day before my birthday I got a card from my mother in-law. The day of my birthday started with my Dad calling me at 6:30 to wish me a Happy Birthday. Then when I got to work everyone got together to sing Happy Birthday to me and we ate a fabulous cake made by one of my friends at school. After school I got to hang out with one of my friends and her new baby. David came home from work early and said we can do what ever I want, but I now had a sore throat and just wanted to sleep. So we went to get Pho, Vietnamese chicken soup, and a was surprised with a singing card. David was looking forward to embarrassing me at a nice restaurant with it. Then we came home to a surprise cake. David also got me a new camera that is the coolest, it goes underwater to 33 feet and is shock proof from 6 feet.

Expecting

We are now expecting. I am 5 weeks pregnant. I know it's early but I still wanted to tell people. If I have another miscarriage I don't want to go through it alone. The doctor is keeping a close eye on me. I will be having ultrasounds every 2 weeks for the first trimester. I feel a lot better with this one so far. Not sick at all, although I know morning sickness is supposed to start next week. My progesterone level was 80 on Saturday and my HCG level went from 440 to 1500 in two days. These are both really good.

Congratulations Julie

My sister in-law Julie got engaged over the weekend. I keep checking out her blog to see if the pictures are up yet. She has a very unique and memorable proposal story. It has fishing, a boot, and a scuba diver involved.

Happy Mother's Day!

The cookie cake is waiting for you. It might be gone by the time you get here.

Picking Colors

I know what color I want but when I have to pick it out at a store next to others that look just like it I pick the worst color. The guy at Sherwin Williams was very helpful. I just describe the room and the color I want and he picks it. This color is sooo much better for our bathroom, it really flows with the floor. It's called Contented. Daisy gave herself racing stripes again. Here's Pistachio Tint vs. Contented. Here's a section done in Antique Red. I love the color but not sure how well it goes with the love seat because the love seat has a maroon color in it instead of red. It looks a little splotchy because it's only one coat. Let me know if you think I should get the color adjusted or just go with it.

My little angel

The memorial service was nice. It was nice to be with other that had been through the same thing. There was one woman there that I just wanted to hug, she had 5 miscarriages. Another couple lost their child at 24 weeks. My heart goes out to them. We got to write messages to our child on ribbons and then place them on a wreath. This has been the only time that David has cried throughout this. We also did a balloon release with messages on them. I lost it when a man told his wife, "They're beating us home." Most of the people at the service were in a support group together at the hospital.

Iron Kisses

Saturday night we used another pair of our IRT tickets and watched Iron Kisses. I did not like, it did not have a happy ending. I believe in marriage and happy relationships. Obviously the playwright does not.

Butterflies

A few weeks ago we got 6 caterpillars for our class to watch become Painted lady butterflies. It was amazing to watch. They all made a chrysalis and all but one came out as butterflies. This is were went through their transformation.
Here's the one that didn't fully turn to a butterfly. Got stuck coming out I guess. The stuff in the cup is what they ate as caterpillars.
Here are the empty chrysalis.
We set them free. It was a little chilly so they didn't fly away, but that gave us the opportunity to have them walk on our fingers. The kids loved having butterflies walking on them. I have parent teacher conferences yesterday and today and was surprised to find out that the children didn't tell their parents about this. One child did tell their parent that one pooped on my hand. I guess that's more exciting at this age.

It's finished

This is a picture of David putting the last piece in, it was a tough one. Earlier this week David complete the floor by putting in the t-molding (transition to the carpeted area) and shoe molding. I love it!

Memorial Service

This Saturday we will be attending a memorial service for our baby. The invitation came at the right time. Had it come a few weeks ago I probably would be in tears. On Monday my progesterone level was at 25.99, which is awesome! I'm in a good place right now. Only God knows what next week will bring.
