At the park

This year Isaac is terrified of the swing and very cautious of the slides. In the second picture he's offering another mother his snack. He's so sweet.

Toylet

He's been putting toys in his new toilet and pushing them around. Soon he'll be learning what it's really for.

Beautiful

Daisies and chamomile from our yard.

Anyone want an Aloe plant?

This aloe plant was in need of being repotted. I got 7 more plants out of it. So if you want one just let me know.

What age do you act?

"You Act Like You Are 29 Years Old
You are a twenty-something at heart. You feel like an adult, and you're optimistic about life.
You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

You're still figuring out your place in the world and how you want your life to shape up.
The world is full of possibilities, and you can't wait to explore many of them."

Aunt Karen and Indy 500

My Aunt Karen came to visit as she drifts across the country again. This was her first time meeting David and Isaac. Isaac has so much fun with her and her dog. While I loved hearing her stories.

Adios 29, Hola 30!

I got a lot of birthday wishes on Facebook, in the mail, and by phone. But what really made me feel special was a friend bring over this berry cake, roses, and presents. With Isaac being sick I hadn't left the house in a couple days, with the exception of Walgreens for medicine. So it was a treat to get together with someone. Other than that it was a regular day. I'm having a hard time believing that I'm 30. I tell David this and he responds, "You're 30 and a day." So I'm officially older than 30.

Graduates

Before coming to Indiana I taught middle school in South Carolina for a couple of years and now those kids are graduating! I'm so excited that some of them are actually graduating. Proud of you guys.

Yuckiness

Poor little guy woke up with a fever and isn't feel well. I'm thinking I'm going to spend my birthday watching Curious George. Note to self: don't go the Children's Museum if you want to go on a date in the next week.
Mid morning he started crying and nothing I was doing would get him to stop. Then he threw-up, what seemed to be half his weight in chunky milk. We quickly made our way upstairs and into the shoCheck Spellingwer before he threw-up again. Have you ever tried to wash a 30 pound slippery baby while holding him? It's pretty tough. So I'm holding him in the shower and singing to him, just letting the water run over his back. Then I look at his face and he's asleep! I attempt to put a diaper on him and put him in his crib while not waking him, but that didn't happen. Once I get him settled and asleep again. I make my way to clean up our mess in the bathroom and I keep smelling yucky milk. Then I look in the mirror, and it's in my hair. Oh boy is this going to be a fun day. When he wakes up we'll be going to CVS for Motrin and Tylenol since the bottles we have are recalled.

Plants Screaming

David says he can hear our plants screaming. Isaac likes to poke them, stomp on them, and eat them. Eventually he'll figure them out and leave them alone, but I'm not sure how many are going to survive this year.

Bunny Update 2010

The bunnies have opened their eyes. While looking out Isaac's window the other night we saw the mama. Can you find her?

Mother's Day at Great Wolf Lodge

What a wonderful much needed vacation. We took off to Great Wolf Lodge Saturday and met up with some friends. It was so nice to have our friends there to watch Isaac while we went down some slides together. We also loved the company for dinner and breakfast.
Isaac wasn't as into the water as I thought he would be. He was content just walking around and watching everyone else. At one point he found a tube to get in to protect him from the waves at the wave pool. He loved the lazy river and the top part of the baby slides. He wasn't a fan of the bottom part where you fall in the water. He loved all the kids running around doing their "quests." Which is something we will probably have him do when he is old enough. It seems like a good idea to give parents a break. The "quest" is a wand that you can purchase for the kids and there are things around the hotel that can be activated by their wands and tell them where to go next. The desk clerk said that the mission takes them 3 to 5 hours, seems like just enough time for us to enjoy a spa treatment. The dinner buffet and breakfast buffet were pretty good too. It was nice that the water park is open 10am to 10pm. While my friend and I went back to our rooms with the babies the guys went back out to the slides until it closed. Oh they also serve alcoholic drink, if you're into that. I loved having the waterproof camera with us to capture all these memories. Thank you David for making this a wonderful Mother's Day.
