I signed up for mini marathon training. The Mini is May 4 and looking at the training schedule it looks very doable. Hopefully this is my before picture. You know like those weight loss commercials. I've found that I actually enough running in 14 degree weather because it numbs the pain, but apparently I've developed asthma from the cold air. I'm not letting that stop me from my goal of running 13.1 miles by May. I'm sure I can do it too because one of the trainers is 64 and another one is 80+. She ran her first marathon at the age of 77. Right now my biggest problem is my flabby stomach flapping when I run. The extra skin from the babies hangs down and I'm not sure how to keep it still. No biggie, just gross. Oh also when David saw me getting ready to go out the door he said I looked cute, but then I got closer and he said I looked cuter far away. Just more motivation. Updated: after two days of running in cold weather I now have bronchitis, sinus stuff, and both ears are filled with fluid. So I'm on meds and the doctor told me to rest for a few days. I really don't want to because I'm afraid I'll lose momentum.
well you do look very cute. like a fitness model.
ReplyDeleteis there an alternative to going outside. i mean, what about a treadmill at a gym with day care? some gyms have that.
I took a pole dancing class and loved it. My abs were sore for days!
