And with those apples I tried out some recipes to see what I could make in bulk for my freezer meal group's apple exchange. I made apple roses, which were David's favorite but a little too much more to make 5 batches, apple peanut butter granola bars, which were too healthy, yummy apple tart, and apple pie fries, which lacked flavor. Our freezer meal blog has all of our scrumptious recipes. http://freezermealexchange.blogspot.com/

We took advantage of David work late this past week and went on some adventures instead of trying having dinner at home. Isaac had been begging to go to the apple orchard, so we went. Of course on the way there he fell asleep. So Nolan had his first experience of picking apples and he loved it.
I told him to go pick apples and he grabbed the first one he found, which was a half eaten one on the ground.
I explained that at the orchard we pick them off the trees and not on the ground. He was so excited to pick and an apple that he actually took a bite.
And then disappointment. He wasn't fond of the taste and shoved it in my face and said, "mommy eat." So I did and it was picked a little early.
He then went to pick more apples, bring them to me, and tell me to eat them while I tried to wake up Isaac.
And to save Nolan from crossing the street, we were the only people with in a half mile of this spot. So there was no real danger. I love that Isaac tries to save Nolan from danger even though he says he doesn't like Nolan.

Isaac recently started horse therapy to help with speech and some minor sensory issues. It's only been a couple of session so it's hard to tell if it work with him or not, but he loves it. Nolan wants to do every thing that Isaac does, so for part of the first session Nolan was at the gate yelling "Ride Yee Haw!" He calls horses yee haw because of a dancing horse we have that says it. I was very impressed during his first session to see how it works. The horse gives Isaac sensory input by moving his whole body and while he is riding around they do therapy with him along side the horse.
