Atleast I was prepared

Sorry for my lack of posting lately, I'm a little tired and use all my free time to sleep. I'm also fighting the urge to become a hermit, may have the baby blues, and just don't feel like doing anything, but I know this is change as soon as Nolan sleeps more than 2 hours at a time.
Today I made a trip to my doctor with my boys in tow. This was my first outing with two kids! The nurses were so helpful by caring Nolan for me. So as soon as we were settled in the waiting room I notice that Isaac's pants are wet, thankfully I had a clean pair in my diaper bag. But he would have to wait because I needed to feed Nolan. And wouldn't you know it, Nolan has a huge blowout poop while I'm feeding him. I just had to laugh at this point and ask the nurse to show me a room so I could change their diapers and clothes. This is how it's going to be, always an adventure!
The reason for going to my doctor was because my incision is slightly infected and she needed to check it out. Another round of antibiotics for me and I'll be using a lot of neosporin too. I was just taking antibiotics last week for the blocked ducts in my breast, yes it happened twice last week, which is one of the many reasons I've stopped breast feeding. As David put it I'm really good at growing babies, just not so great at feeding them. And this time around I'm completely ok with this.

  1. Way to go! I'm so glad that a. you were prepared with spare outfits for both boys, and b. that you're getting out. I was so happy you were able to join us last night!

  2. Awww, Kelly I am so with you on all of this! Well, except the breast feeding. I didn't even attempt it with Eli. I remember a similar outing to the pediatrician where I was solo with both kids. People looked at me like, "Wow, I wonder how far apart those kids are!" The nurse looked at me and said, "I promise it gets better!" So, I will tell you the same - and it is true! Things will get easier. It sounds like you are doing great at taking it all in stride! Having two is so special. I am sure you can already see the love your boys have for each other! I just love that! Have a great weekend. Since you aren't nursing, you can sleep in, right!!
