Chitown
Since Emme is here, we took a little trip to Chicago for the night (my first time there). Coming into town I wasn't sure I liked Chicago, because the traffic was horrible. But by the end of the stay I decided I'd come back because there is so much more that I want to do there. We had a wonderful time at Navy Pier, then did an architectural boat tour, and finished the night at a Brazilian steak house. Saturday we were off on a gangster tour to see Chicago by land, and that was fun. David won a gangster stories book written by one of our tour guides "Al Dente," which I read on the way back to Indy.

Fabulous Stay-cation
Isaac's NyNy has been here playing with him a lot. While they've been playing I've been busy. It's been a vacation but I get stuff done around the house. It has been awesome. I haven't blogged about all of these because I wanted to surprise David and also see what he notices around the house. I made this cuddly quilt. Probably a huge surprise for my mom, but it was kit. I thought the fabric was already cut, but it wasn't. That is one thing that I'm not that good at, so it has some mistakes but it's still cuddly.

Still Hungry?
He just finished up his pears. I have to take a shower after feeding him, which puts me in a bind if I have to be somewhere before 11, because I've found carrots on my nose, sweet potatoes on my arm, and pears on leg.

Playdates and Chillin
Isaac and I have been visiting Lindsey and Graham since they've been taking care of Will. Isaac loves playing with the toys and being entertained by Graham. Will is just a couple of days younger than Isaac, so it's fun for me to see another child his age.
We start winding down in the evenings around 5. Isaac has also been enjoying teething wafers; Doritos is waiting for the day that Isaac throws them at him.

Peace and Butterflies
My wonderful sister-in-law has been showering me with birthday presents over the last month. The last present she got me was Fireproof. I am warning all my family members that if you don't tell me that you've watched, you will be getting it for Christmas. It has the most powerful scene we've ever seen in a movie.
I worry about you guys. Many of my family members don't go to church and I've even had one tell me she doesn't believe in God. I worry that God is not a part of your life and there will not be peace when you pass.
If you're wondering where this is coming from, a friend of mine just lost her grandfather and asked us to pray that her family would be at peace with his passing. That got me thinking about the funerals I've been to and my family.
Ok, on to the pictures from today. I've had a hard time changing diapers since Isaac just wants to flip over and talk with the red frog. So I thought I'd made a mobile to entertain him and try to keep him on his back.
This is typical for trying to change a diaper and dress him.
I got the idea from this picture, which was found here. Here's the end result. This is what he sees. I found a package of butterflies at Michaels ($4.99) and used fishing line and a paper plate.
