36.5 week appointment

Baby has dropped even more, but there is no change in dilation. Doctor wants me to call as soon as contractions are regular and painful enough to take my breath away. I've also lost a few pounds this week, which also happened right before I had Isaac. It's certainly not from my eating habits, especially since I ate a pint of ice cream the night before my doctor's appointment. I'm really uncomfortable but glad that I'm not swollen like I was with Isaac. I think we'll meet this baby pretty soon.

Really? It's only Tuesday

Surprisingly I'm not stressed right now, even though we just found that the opposite corner of our bedroom has mold due to water damage that we didn't see earlier. It took 3 weeks to finally get the work started on the damage we did see, I hope this one doesn't take as long to get approved by our insurance. I promised David I wouldn't post pictures of that wall, because it's disgusting.
Also I'm pretty sure Isaac has croup, so we'll be visiting the doctor in the morning if he still has a barky cough. But I did sign him up for preschool yesterday. He'll be going one day a week, even though David thinks he should go at least two days a week. When I told David that I signed him up for one day a week he informed me that Isaac will have to move out of the house one day.
I also have my doctor's appointment tomorrow. We will see how that goes, especially since I've had contractions all day about an hour apart.
So thankful I'm not going through this whirlwind alone and that Isaac's Nyny will be here tomorrow to start helping out. Poor David will be sleeping on the couch until our room is fixed. Good thing he's a heavy sleeper.

Choosing Faith over Fear

With our bedroom looking like this it would be too easy to panic and worry that it won't be done by the time baby arrives. Surprisingly I'm not panicked and the lecture this past week at BSF was meant for me. Will you trust Him and choose Him instead of fear? Yes, a Christian life can be a harder life than the other path. But I believe in His promise and am trying to let God take this worry.
Another thing that stood out from this past weeks lecture was when you witness a fatal car wreck it's the same feeling when you are watching loved one live outside of Christ. You are standing there screaming for them to stop but it's futile because they don't hear you.

All in a day's work

The morning was a little breezy but he was grinning ear to ear because he could actually go out and play with his toys. By the afternoon it was warm enough to go out without a coat! As you can see he loves his tools. David actually took him to volunteer to put together bikes Saturday and give mama a break. Isaac had a blast helping dad and using tools.

Many thanks to Rhema Photography for getting these great shots.

Surgery went well

The doctor said that he definitely needed this surgery after it was done. He was great before the surgery. I was worried about how he would be having to wait to have breakfast and drink, but he was so excited/hyper that he didn't ask for anything. It also helped that a friend let us borrow her portable DVD player, that we were late, and that they did the surgery early. Afterwards he was crying and inconsolable, but fell asleep in the car for the ride home. We tried to hold off on giving him milk because they told us he would vomit if he had it after anaesthesia, which led to him crying because he LOVES milk, which then led to his nose bleeding every time he cried. Overall he did great and because David was with me I wasn't too emotional. Thank you to all of you that called, text messaged, and commented on facebook. It meant a lot to know that all of you were praying for him.
A little funny story about yesterday. They gave him a teddy bear, which we didn't give to him until we were home and he was awake. Apparently he hates this teddy bear, because every time we've tried to give it to him he throws it to the ground as hard as he can. I'm pretty sure he associates the bear with the surgery.

35.5 week doctor appointment

I'm now seeing the doctor weekly. The baby has dropped even more and I'm anticipating it just being a couple more weeks. I'm really excited to meet this one and find out if it's a boy or girl. I'm having a hard time staying asleep and am not sure if it's anxiety or early signs of labor. For example I woke up at 1am Saturday with tons of energy and couldn't get back to sleep until 5am. I'm having a hard time focusing and organizing my thoughts too, which is making feel really unprepared for baby and house guests.
