Easter Morning
We are so blessed and thankful for the Lord's sacrifice for us. Easter morning reminded me of how blessed I am with this wonderful family. It started with Isaac leaving his room for the first time on his own, instead of yelling for me to come get him. He then showed up at my door with eggs in his hands and speechless. It was adorable and he was so excited. Isaac had a blast finding eggs and giving Nolan the shell after he took out the treats. Yes, that last picture is of Isaac eating bacon and Peeps.

A couple more hens
We now have a hen and a pullet (a female chicken that is not yet full grown and in an awkward looking stage). One got out the first day I brought them home and Isaac had a blast chasing it around the yard. They are sooo fast and there is no way that I will be able to catch them if they get out of the yard. If that happens David and I agreed to disown them. Luckily they like being in their area and the one that got loose ran back in.

Adding to the flock
The top hats are about 3 to 4 weeks old and the new ones, Silver Laced Wyandottes, are a week old, but they are huge compared to the top hats. The Silver Laced ones are more docile and will very good layers. It's so neat to see them growing and to see Isaac's reaction to them. He comforts them when he's holding them by telling them, "It's ok baby chicken."
