MNO (Mom's Night Out) at Pottery By You

I had a lot of fun last night making my own soup mug and I can't wait to see how brilliant the colors are after it's fired.

Someone is missing Daddy

The past couple of days we've been partying at a friends house in the evening and staying up way too late. He's been having a blast with her girls and their toys, but to get to their house we have to go over Eagle Creek. Every time we go across the water Isaac starts yelling, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" I keep telling Isaac that Daddy's at work but he seems to think he's fishing. This morning Isaac picked up our house phone and handed it to me and said Daddy, luckily Daddy called soon after. Isaac just walked around the house for a bit talking to Daddy and looking out the window for him. He was talking so much that David couldn't get a word in. We then did a video chat on the computer and Isaac attempted a game of chase with David on the computer. He'd run up to the computer and David would make a face at him then Isaac would run away screaming. Later that day when I opened the computer Isaac immediately ran up and put his face on the screen and called for Daddy. I'm going to have to really entertain this guy to get his mind off of Daddy for a few more days.

Yummy Yummy Yummy!

A different Perspective

I thought I'd go ahead and get out some of the baby gear to see if Nolan was ready for it and to let Isaac play with it. Nolan loved it when I first put him the jumperoo, it's a whole new perspective on his world. Most of his time is spent laying on the ground or laying back in a chair. He was talking up a storm and laughing at first, but then he realized that his feet don't touch the ground.

1st Time Freezer Cooking

I recently joined a Freezer Cooking Group that just started. This is my first time trying to freezer cook. We will see how well it tastes next week when David's home. The way the group works is we all bring 7 meals to the meeting and exchange them once a month. So that we have 7 different homemade frozen meals. This month I decided to make Chicken Cordon Bleu and I'm really excited to try out all the different meals.

Ready for Camping

Monday Isaac rushed out the door to the backyard so I go to see what he's doing and he's peeing. Of course I grab the camera to document this occasion. After taking the picture and putting the camera down, I go to see what he's doing and he's pooping! We then have a conversation about peeing and pooping in the potty and only dogs go pee and poop outside. The next day I caught him pooping on the side of the house in the backyard. He was doing it where he knew I couldn't see him out the window. When telling David about this his response was, "There are worst places he could do that." I hope we can get back on the potty training band wagon soon.

Pictures with Nolan

David took a picture of Nolan sitting with me and Isaac ran over wanting to hold Nolan for a picture.

Sweet Nolan

Progress

At the beginning of the weekend... and Sunday evening.

Experimenting

How many spoons does it take to eat dinner? Atleast 10 tonight.
Finding out what's inside a tomato.

PBS in the Park

One happy boy! Waiting for the Wild Kratts to come on stage. Quite possibly the best family picture yet of all 4 of us. Seeing George! He really wanted to go and hug him but the line was soooo long and we'd have to wait in that line for a couple of hours. Sorry kiddo, maybe next time.

Got Milk?

I've found that having two kids is a juggling act and sometimes I drop the ball or in this case milk. I was holding Nolan trying to pour a drink for Isaac when I dropped a full gallon of milk. The side split open and there was no containing the mess. Thankfully my friend's husband was home and could come over to move the fridge for me.
Right now I'm barely able to juggle all the doctor's appointments. That seems to be the only reason we make it out the door, which is vastly different than a few months ago. Isaac and I had a bustling activity schedule, but now I can't remember the last time we did something just Isaac besides a doctor's appointment. I'm still trying to find our new normal and I hope we get back into those activities soon. Not sure when that normal is going to come though, David's off to Japan next week and then I'll be having my gallbladder removed.
