Finish Line
This morning I went downtown to run the Festival 500 5k. I left my house around 6:30 and parked at 6:55 thinking 5 minutes was enough time to get to the start line just a couple blocks away. I didn't make it in time due to the 4000 people. I was so mad when I made it to the start line and they told me I couldn't run. I was 5 minutes late and soooo mad that I wanted kick those people that kept stopping in front of me in their shins. Thankfully I called my husband, that pointed out the positives. I got to come home earlier and beat the crowd. Sadly I didn't get to cross the start or finish line of this race but I did get a T-shirt. What will I do different next year? Probably just yell MOOOOOVE on my way to the start line.

He knows where things go
While playing the garage Isaac noticed the empty trashcans and decided that he'd put them back where they go. He attempted to get round trashcan up the drive but when the wind blew it he came running towards me. As I moved the trashcans he directed me where to put them. He is so helpful. At least this time he didn't try to get our neighbors trashcans too.

More craftiness-crinkle wipes and hooded towel
Anytime Isaac gets his hands on a wipe box, the wipes end up everywhere. So I decided to make his some that crinkle. I used his old newborn washcloths and cellophane. This is something I wanted to make a while ago but never got around to it until now. I hope he prefers playing with them instead of the real wipes.
I also whipped up a monkey hooded towel.
You might be wondering why all the craftiness. Well David has been gone for 3 days hiking and camping, and when he's gone I tend to paint the house or move furniture. But this time I decided to do some of the projects on my list.

This is not a quilt
because I'm not ready to admit that I've turned into my mom. No offense mom. But if you would like to check out some awesome quilts, head on over to my mom's blog. I made this blanket for Isaac because as you can see in the video he loves blankets but he also loves Curious George too, and I added a few different textures.
I also made a new eating out bag for Isaac that's a bit more stylish and a little bit bigger. Also it shouldn't fall apart in the wash, but we will see about that one.

Already gone
One of my favorite memories is of my mom's ice cream sandwiches. Now that it's starting to get warm I thought I'd try making some and they were yummy. The secret is to use super cheap cookies, for some reason it just makes them taste better. I also used frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. I made them yesterday and they are already gone. I guess I'll need to get some more cookies when I'm at Wal-Mart for my third time this week.
