Baby Moon

We started off our "Baby Moon" in Greenville, SC with an awesome baby shower then took off to Hilton Head. Once in Hilton Head our vacation started off with a Guitar Hero battle, then bingo by the pool, and then mini golf. Mini golf was interesting, in the picture everyone is laughing because my golf ball somehow made it into the water once again but this time it jumped a bridge and landed in a large pond.

We went to Beaufort to visit our family's dock and have lunch. David had to take a picture to show me that I still have a waist and don't look pregnant from the back.
We finished our trip in Greenville having a nice dinner with my Dad and step mom.

25 weeks

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Baby David

He was an adorable baby but look at how big he was. It's starting to scare me.

24 Week Dr. Appt.

My stomach is measuring around 24 weeks. The baby could now survive outside the womb! Now I'm deciding if I should take the flu shot my doctor is offering, which is not a live virus. I've never had the flu or the flu shot. With my weakened immune system, the shot is recommended. But I'm still not sure. What do you think?

Kicking and Punching

A few days ago David got to see the baby moving. Buster poked out an elbow or knee and David started screaming. I guess he didn't expect it to move that much and I laughed so hard that my abs hurt the next day.

Your baby weighs about a pound (.45 kg) and is approximately 8 inches (20 cm) long. No more fruit comparisonsnow he looks like a perfect, little doll!

Diaper Case

I couldn't decide which fabric to put on the outside of the diaper case so I mixed it up. I got the template from here. After making it I realized that it matched my purse/diaper bag.

Crib skirt

I made this crib skirt with a light green fabric. The crib is currently on the highest setting, once we lower it the crib skirt will come down to the floor. I think it looks awesome, but I may be bias.

Ring Sling

Last week I made a ring sling, which can be used for infants and toddlers. As you can see it can hold a 20-25 pound Daisy Dog. I'm impressed with myself. I attempted to put pockets on the tail but they didn't turn out as I imagined. I may be redoing that part.

22 weeks

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Our child will probably be comforted by dogs barkings. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Bellies & Babies

I went to the Bellies & Babies Expo this morning. I had 4 free tickets but couldn't find anyone to go with me. It took an hour just to get in and was very crowded, so I'm glad I didn't make any of my friends suffer through this. They advertised that the first 1500 people would get a free gift, such as a stroller, car seat, or other goodies. Well it turned out that you had to get signatures from certain vendors then you got the gift. I ended up getting a stroller! How
exciting is that. I also picked up a couple of other free items.

Prayer Requeset

Please pray for the Broge Family. They just had twins born at 26 weeks!

My shirt moved!

Last night while in bed watching TV my shirt moved. I then looked at my belly and I think Buster was trying to escape through my diminishing belly button. It was amazing to watch him move!

Labor Day fun

David painted the nursery. He sponged a light/sky blue on the top part of the walls and around the ceiling.
Then we went over to a friend's house for some fun in the sun.
