Got caught again

Now that Nolan is mobile Isaac freaks out at least once a day crying hysterically and shouting at Nolan because he has touched one of Isaac's toys. So this moment was so sweet for me to witness today. Isaac actually played with Nolan with out being prompted to. Not that our prompting him to actually works anyway.

Rainhat?

It was raining and Isaac decided he wanted to go outside and requested this hat. He did actually go in the rain for about 1 minute, but wore the hat for hours. He even figured out he can hide his treasures in the hat and wear it. I love this silly guy.

First Steps Evaluation

I was glad the evaluators got to see Nolan eat breakfast because I feel like I'm constantly trying to describe his eating to everyone but they can't picture what I see. The evaluators said that he puts the food in his mouth to soften but doesn't chew, therefore he has low muscle tone in his mouth and needs OT help for this once a week. The occupational therapist will also work with him on his mouth sensory issues.
They played with him for awhile and determined that he also has low muscle tone on the lower part of his legs. For this he will be receiving PT help twice a month. The physical therapist should be able to show me exercises to do with him to help him figure out how to pull up and start walking. I'm excited we are on our way to seeing more progress. Now lets just hope we get a couple of therapist with experience.

Revision Surgery

I haven't updated you guys as to what's going on with my chest lumps. So, one is higher than the other and since I look like a freak when I'm not wearing layers, I'm having a revision surgery May 18. The implants are exactly the same size, 425cc's, they just are lined up. I met with the plastic surgeon this past Friday to make sure we were on the same page and he pretty much said that as long as I give him consent to do what he thinks will work he'll try his best. We went over what this might be and I'm ok with the various solutions. He plans on moving them to line them up and to hopefully cover up the mastectomy divot. He still encouraged me to go bigger and said that would help cover up the divots. I don't want to go bigger and know there are other solutions, one is to inject fat in the area to fill it in. If he feels that this is necessary, then I may come out with a smaller, and very sore, tummy.
May 18 is the last day of school for Isaac and David will have just gotten back from his trip to Taiwan. So this week and next I'm interviewing nannies. I'm actually pretty excited about it and have high hopes that we (David and I) may be able to go out on a date eventually. Not sure why I haven't visited care.com before to find some mother's helpers aka babysitters.

A view

Isaac has been giving the chicks various pictures and toys to look at. What a sweetheart!

Photobombed and Doggy Door

I was trying to get a picture of Nolan playing with the doggy door and Isaac jumped in front of the camera. Someone is getting jealous and needing more attention. Nolan on the other hand found the doggy door and played with it for at least 30 minutes. He thought it was hilarious when Daisy tried to come in.

Easter Morning

We are so blessed and thankful for the Lord's sacrifice for us. Easter morning reminded me of how blessed I am with this wonderful family. It started with Isaac leaving his room for the first time on his own, instead of yelling for me to come get him. He then showed up at my door with eggs in his hands and speechless. It was adorable and he was so excited. Isaac had a blast finding eggs and giving Nolan the shell after he took out the treats. Yes, that last picture is of Isaac eating bacon and Peeps.

On the move

and starting to pull up on furniture. Not sure he'll qualify for help with his First Steps evaluation on Monday since he's flying through these milestones.

Easter Egg Hunting in the 'Hood

One of the moms on our street decided it to have a Easter Egg Hunting get together for our street. It was awesome, especially since we have a candy salesman on our street. Isaac loved it and Nolan liked it until Isaac stole eggs and candy from him.
