I really liked the book so I was hoping the movie would be just as good. I liked the movie but of course thought the book was better. I really liked that the movie stayed (mostly) true to the book, but I was left wanting more from the movie. In the movie they followed the main two characters but didn't go into the other relationships which were covered in the book. The movie is more PG than the book. A little warning, if you are pregnant and read the book or see the movie you WILL have dreams that you are in the circus. I read the book while I was pregnant with Nolan and had dreams that I was a part of the act. Then I took a pregnant friend to see the movie and she had circus dreams that night.
I give this movie 3 out of 4 stars.
